Chernyshov got a severe sunburn on the first day of a pre-draft showcase in Florida, admitting his inexperience with vacationing led him to neglect sun protection.
Although he missed some training days due to the sunburn, Chernyshov does not believe it significantly affected his draft position, still grateful for being picked by the Sharks.
