Mackenzie Blackwood made 36 saves for his 10th career shutout as the visiting San Jose Sharks blanked the St. Louis Blues 4-0 Saturday to snap their nine-game losing streak.
Filip Zadina, Mikael Granlund, Luke Kunin, and Jan Ruuta scored for the Sharks, who won for just the second time in their last 20 games.
Blackwood denied defenseman Colton Parayko on a wide-open shot from the low slot, then he stayed patient to stop Brayden Schenn's backhand shot on a clean break-in.
St. Louis outshot the Sharks 11-3 during the scoreless first period but couldn't convert some terrific scoring chances.
