Sharks and San Jose to honor Joe Thornton
Briefly

Mayor Matt Mahan will officially declare Saturday as "Joe Thornton Day" in honor of the legendary San Jose Sharks player, celebrating his significant contributions to the team.
As part of the retirement weekend, fans attending the game will receive a commemorative puck featuring a special Joe Thornton 19 retirement logo, highlighting cherished moments in Sharks history.
The celebration includes Thornton participating in the 2024 Legends Game at Tech CU Arena, a fitting tribute to a player who has made a lasting impact on the franchise.
Joe Thornton's No. 19 jersey will be retired on Saturday night, making him only the second player in Sharks history to receive this honor, following Patrick Marleau.
