Sharks, AHL defenseman mutually agree to terminate contract
Briefly

The San Jose Sharks placed defenseman Valtteri Pulli on unconditional waivers to terminate his NHL contract as he requested to play in Europe.
Sharks assistant general manager Joe Will expressed gratitude to Pulli, stating, "We want to thank Valtteri for his contributions to the organization and wish him all the best."
Though Pulli signed a two-year deal with the Sharks after three seasons in Finland, he never played for the NHL team but had modest success in the AHL.
With new defensemen joining the Barracuda and Pulli falling down the depth chart, he played only two games this season before opting to leave for Europe.
