Jacob Reyes, 18, faces multiple felony charges for allegedly manufacturing or partially producing 27 ghost guns using two 3D weapons printers at his family home in San Jose. Some of the firearms were modified to operate as machine guns. All weapons were seized by law enforcement. The arrest resulted from an investigation by the San Jose Police Department and the Santa Clara County Gun Violence Task Force, a collaborative effort involving SJPD officers, DA investigators, and deputies from other agencies. The task force focuses on confiscating firearms from criminals, mentally ill individuals, and suicidal individuals. Reyes was arraigned and faces potential prison sentences if convicted.
