San Jose Sharks hit with another injury as No. 1 center will miss game vs. Capitals
Briefly

San Jose Sharks center Tomas Hertl is considered day-to-day after he suffered an unspecified injury away from the team. Sharks coach David Quinn said Hertl's injury happened Sunday when the team was off, but refused to be specific about what happened other than to say the injury is around his midsection. Quinn said, though, that Hertl would join the Sharks on their upcoming road trip that starts Thursday in Boston against the Bruins. The Sharks are already without injured top-nine forwards Logan Couture (lower body), Alexander Barabanov (finger) and Filip Zadina, who was placed on injured reserve on Monday with an upper-body ailment.
