Chris Armas is focused on enhancing the Colorado Rapids' performance following their first victory of the season against Austin FC. The coach emphasizes the importance of becoming aggressive and playing with intensity as they approach their next game against the San Jose Earthquakes. Despite being in seventh place, Armas believes in the necessity of proactive play for success. Conversely, San Jose has started strong but looks to recover from their recent defeat. The upcoming match poses a significant challenge for the Rapids as they aim to climb the standings further.
"Coming on the road is not easy. Even home games are not easy in this league. Every game is difficult," the Rapids coach said.
"We have to be the protagonists. We have to go after it. We need to be aggressive and play with intensity," Armas emphasized regarding his team's approach.
"If you watch Liverpool these days, they are a team that understands that once the whistle blows, it is on and my guys did that [against Austin]," he added.
"That's what winning looks like. I am glad that the guys get to experience that commitment to the way we play... and get rewarded for that."
