Red Wings Can Make History Tonight
Briefly

The Red Wings have a 7-1-0 record since McLellan took over behind the bench. The team has experienced a night and day difference in performance and pace.
If they win tonight, some history will be made. It will be the longest win streak the organization has had since the 2007-08 season.
Coincidentally, that was the last time the Red Wings had won the Stanley Cup. It would be premature to plan a parade on behalf of the organization, but fans will take the wins as they come.
Steve Yzerman expected the team to contend for a Wild Card position. If things progress, they could be looking at more.
