Former Sharks defenseman Brent Burns helped Rick Celebrini decide to move his family to the Bay Area for better hockey development opportunities. Burns' reassurance about the Jr. Sharks program was pivotal in the decision-making process.

Celebrini's sons, Aiden and Macklin, flourished in the Jr. Sharks program with Macklin garnering 101 points in a season and Aiden showcasing his skills both at the Jr. Sharks and Willow Glen High School before moving to Shattuck St. Mary's.
