Jack Studnicka's flash as a Vancouver Canuck turned out to be just that, as the speedy forward was shipped to the San Jose Sharks Friday in what amounts to a minor league deal.
Studnicka, 24, had mostly played for AHL Abbotsford this season, but for a team deep in forwards and dealing with some injuries, the Sharks sent Nick Cicek the other way. San Jose also has sent a 2024 sixth-round pick in the deal.
