Colin White, a former Ottawa Senators player, signed with San Jose Sharks' AHL team, Barracuda, after playing 320 NHL games with various teams. White brings a mix of NHL and AHL experience and is expected to provide center depth for the Barracuda.
Despite being a first-round pick in 2015, White faced challenges establishing himself in the NHL with injury setbacks and inconsistent performance, his highest games played in a season being 71. His most successful season was 2018-2019, but he struggled to replicate that success.
In the previous season, White played 28 NHL games without scoring a point and performed decently in the AHL with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. With the Barracuda, he aims to offer veteran leadership to the team led by Head Coach John McCarthy in pursuit of AHL playoffs.
