Avalanche, Sharks swap goalies in four-player deal
Briefly

The Colorado Avalanche traded goaltender Alexandar Georgiev and other assets to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood, making it their second goalie-for-goalie trade.
Georgiev, 28, struggled early this season losing five of his first six games and posted career worsts with an 8-7-0 record and a 3.38 GAA.
Blackwood, who replaces Georgiev, had started as the Sharks' primary goalie this season, with a more favorable 6-9-3 record and .909 save percentage.
Givani Smith, included in the trade with Blackwood, had limited impact on the Sharks this season with just ten penalty minutes in six games and no points.
