The big news, of course, is that the 2024 MLB Draft is upon us! The Giants will be selecting (and hopefully signing) 18 prospects across Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, and then probably adding a few undrafted free agents as well.
A few players were moved to the IL. AA Richmond infielder Andrew Kachel, who was only recently promoted, lands on the 7-Day IL, as does outfielder Ismael Munguia. AAA Sacramento RHP Evan Gates has been placed on the Development List.
Last week outfielder Wade Meckler was moved off of the 7-Day IL and assigned to High-A Eugene, continuing his rehab assignment.
