Tyler and Taylor Rogers, identical twins and former bullpen teammates for the San Francisco Giants, will face each other on Opening Day after Taylor was traded to the Cincinnati Reds. Reflecting on their shared experience, Tyler expressed gratitude for their two seasons together, a rarity in Major League Baseball. The Giants, now with only one left-handed reliever on their roster after the trade, look to bolster their pitching options with several non-roster left-handed invitees. The twins showcased their bond by appearing in 56 games together prior to the trade.
We spent two years together in the bullpen which we're obviously thankful for... In Major League Baseball and in bullpens in particular you don't get to spend two seasons with hardly anybody.
I wish I could put it into better words, but privilege is a good word to use... We enjoyed the heck out of it every single day.
