Neighbors report bright-white lights shining as late as 3 to 4:30 am and say the illumination disrupts sleep. A South Beach resident documented photos taken at 11:35 pm, 1:27 am, and 4:31 am and raised concerns with the Port of San Francisco, which oversees the park. The lease requires primary sports lights to be turned off within a reasonable time after the public exits, with lighting thereafter limited to the minimum necessary for cleanup. Non-baseball events and private rentals may contribute to the late-night lighting.
