Giants lose a legend and a game
Briefly

Willie Mays died at the impressive age of 93. He died at home, at peace, and surrounded by his family and loved ones. He died having accomplished everything that a baseball player could ever hope to accomplish; everything that a person could ever hope to accomplish. In a sport that has featured 23,235 Major League players, hundreds of thousands of other professional players, and hundreds of millions of amateurs, he died as the singular greatest to ever do it.
To call his death a tragedy is an affront to the word itself, but more importantly, it's an affront to the man. His loss is incalculable and heartbreaking.
