Buster Posey hints Madison Bumgarner interested in joining SF Giants staff

"He's been fun to talk to over these last couple of months because he's surprised me that he wants to have some sort of involvement," Posey said. "I kinda figured, once he was done, that he would want to - that we would kinda never hear from him again. He would disappear and, I don't know, go be in the woods somewhere. I'm extremely excited about him being able to just share some of his experience with some of our young pitchers."
Ever since he was unceremoniously released by the Diamondbacks in early 2023, Bumgarner hasn't found any takers to bring him back onto the mound. He's spent his time getting his Mason Saunders on without needing the alias, according to NBC Sports Bay Area.
At that time, he praised current Giants workhorse starter Logan Webb and said he keeps up with the team from his home in North Carolina.
The Giants have a well-known history of bringing their former stars down to Scottsdale, Arizona, for a couple of days during each spring training.
