Kellen Mond told reporters after the local pro day: 'I was just contacted by my agent a few days ago and just figured it was a good opportunity for me to come out and throw, And something I was kind of already familiar with, with the system out here, just being with [former 49ers passing game coordinator] Klint Kubiak back in my rookie year.'
The Minnesota Vikings drafted Mond (6-3, 211) from Texas A&M in the third round (No. 66 overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He also spent time with the Cleveland Browns and was on the practice squad for the Indianapolis Colts last season.
