"I don't think people have ever given Flacco enough credit for his whole career," Shanahan said in praise of Flacco's accomplishments. He believes Flacco has been one of the better quarterbacks of the past 20 years and was particularly impressive during his time with the Baltimore Ravens. Shanahan also revealed that the 49ers tried hard to acquire Flacco two years ago before he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite not currently being a starter, Flacco's skill set and talent have not diminished.
