Improving the 49ers' pass protection: A look at 10 O-line draft prospects
Briefly

The statistical consensus was clear. So were the results of the Super Bowl, where the 49ers allowed nine unblocked pressures off blitzes in their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The most infamous error came on third down in overtime when right guard Spencer Burford blew his assignment and allowed star defensive tackle Chris Jones a free run at Purdy.
An early projection from Ben Baldwin, which ranks the 49ers No. 21, isn't optimistic about the team's collection of talent up front. Although left tackle (Williams) and right guard (where the 49ers re-signed Jon Feliciano) score above average, left guard (where Banks regressed last season in pass protection), center ( Jake Brendel) and right tackle ( Colton McKivitz) all project to be weaker links.
