The spreadsheet automatically calculates space. If your team is cap-compliant, cell C4 will be shaded in blue. But if spending is exceeding the limit, that cell will turn red - and it'll be time to make some possibly painful cuts or trades.
All of those possible moves affect the 49ers' cap situation, and that's reflected by the option that you choose.
