After just one season, the 49ers dismissed their last defensive coordinator, Steve Wilks. The defense ranked eighth in total yards allowed, third in points allowed, third in rushing yards allowed, and 14th in passing yards allowed during the regular season.
Before joining the 49ers, Bullocks served as the assistant defensive backs coach with the Jaguars in 2016, assistant coach/cornerbacks at Eastern Michigan University in 2015, and assistant coach/secondary coach at the University of Northern Iowa from 2012 to 2014.
