Vallejo business owners have experienced significant financial losses due to the city’s inadequate enforcement of RV parking regulations. Recent warnings indicate that RV dwellers must vacate East Lincoln Road, but business owners like Paul Sharma express concerns that continued issues will deter customers and drive them out of business. Despite a recent cleanup where five truckloads of trash were removed, there remain worries about ongoing enforcement and the well-being of both businesses and the unhoused individuals.
"It's making it unsafe for my clients. My customers are coming in and having issues booking events. Four of them cancelled, one was in the pipeline," said Sharma.
"If we don't face this problem, we are going to drive the businesses out of the City of Vallejo," said Sharma.
"If you do have to move, do you know where you're gonna go?" asked ABC7 News Reporter J.R. Stone.
"I ain't got time to move. I got a flat tire. I got stuff piled up in the rain," said David Flores.
