A suspicious backpack filled with methamphetamine was intercepted by New Zealand Customs at Auckland International Airport after arriving on a flight from San Francisco. The bag was flagged due to inconsistencies in x-ray imaging. Inside, customs agents found vacuum-sealed packages containing meth, leading to an ongoing investigation to trace the bag back to its owner. Chief Customs Officer Tracy Henderson emphasized the importance of skilled frontline officers in preventing drug importation and maintaining community safety against organized crime.

It's the sharp instincts of skilled frontline officers that continue to stop illicit drugs from making it into our communities.
