The Sugar Castle at the Westin St. Francis marks its 20th year as a holiday centerpiece in San Francisco. The rotating sugar château stands nearly 12 feet tall and weighs over 1,200 pounds, featuring more than 20 towers, about 30 rooms, illuminated windows, a surrounding village and a running train. Executive Pastry Chef Jean-Francois Houdré and his team began the project in 2005 and expand its grandeur each year. Visitors can explore the interior via immersive augmented reality on smartphones and search for Francis the Dog to claim a concierge prize. The display runs November 26, 2025–January 2, 2026 in the Tower Lobby and is free to the public.
