The Westin St. Francis Sugar Castle marks its 20th anniversary as a nearly 12-foot, rotating sugar sculpture weighing over 1,000 pounds on display in San Francisco. Jean-Francois Houdré and his pastry team conceived the creation in 2005 and continue to expand it annually with greater grandeur and innovation. The château features more than 20 grand circular towers, roughly 30 rooms, illuminated windows, a surrounding village, and a running train. Visitors can access an immersive augmented-reality interior on smartphones. The public display runs November 26, 2025 through January 2, 2026 in the Tower Lobby at 335 Powell Street and is free.
