An alleged sexual assault of a young girl occurred in a Golden Gate Park restroom near the Polo Field last Thursday around 5:30 p.m. Richmond Station investigators have identified three suspects and are awaiting DNA test results from the scene to potentially pinpoint a responsible individual. Investigators received a separate report that a man loitered near the area the day before and approached another girl, asking whether she was in middle or high school and inquiring about a bathroom. Youth soccer teams received warnings to have children use restrooms in pairs or groups of three, and SF Rec & Parks deployed a park ranger during afternoon practices.
