Jon-Marques Psalms, 30, of San Francisco, suffered a medical emergency after finishing a mandated training exercise at the police academy and was taken to a hospital where he later died. Psalms joined Recruit Class 286 earlier this year and formed close bonds with fellow recruits. He grew up in Southern California, attended college in Louisiana, and worked in the Bay Area tech industry before pursuing law enforcement.
