SF police arrest suspect accused of 9 bank robberies

baona/Getty Images/iStockphoto A man was arrested in San Francisco on Tuesday on suspicion of robbing local banks nine separate times across a single week in early May, with the suspect allegedly fleeing the scene with stolen cash in more than half of those instances, officials said Thursday.The San Francisco Police Department said the 34-year-old suspect was arrested after police received a report May 9 at 3:30 p.m. that a man had robbed a bank on the 2000 block of Irving Street in the Sunset District.
