EXIT Theatre runs a monthly free event every second Saturday that combines a mixer, a 30-minute writing sprint, and immediate performances. The evening begins with an 8:30 pm mixer, followed by a 9 pm sprint where writers generate original monologues from pre-generated prompts. At 9:30 pm the newly created pieces are performed onstage in the café as a one-night-only instant festival. Actors are cast from the audience with no experience required, and participants can join as writers, performers, or audience members. No reservations are necessary, but the writer list caps at 16. The café is open and staffed; admission is free.
