Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Ellen E. Williams ordered Valley Water Director Rebecca Eisenberg to return a roughly 2,000-page report related to her behavior within five days.
Eisenberg argues the lawsuit is merely a distraction from critical issues, specifically citing the increasing costs of the Pacheco Dam project, which recently rose to about $5.5 billion.
'This lawsuit is an intentional abuse of ratepayer funds,' Eisenberg claimed, arguing it targets an irrational risk of her sharing confidential documents, stating, 'There is no evidence to support it and they know that.'
'I am going to tough it out to help bring justice to the community,' Eisenberg stated, emphasizing that her right to review materials does not include sharing their contents.
