Two Jewish men were assaulted at Santana Row in San Jose on Sunday afternoon while waiting for a restaurant table. Three young men attacked them with targeted head strikes causing significant injuries, including a knockout requiring stitches and bruising. Witnesses reported hearing antisemitic slurs and references to Iran during the attack. Both victims were hospitalized. San Jose Police are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime due to the alleged use of antisemitic language. One victim's business was previously vandalized with swastikas and hateful graffiti last August. Community leaders warn that geopolitical tensions involving Iran, the U.S., and Israel are exacerbating antisemitism locally.
