San Francisco Mime Troupe's "Disruption" (Davis High School)
Briefly

The Tony Award-winning San Francisco Mime Troupe is set to return for its 2025 season with their production, DISRUPTION - A Musical Farce, from July 4 to August 3, 2025. This year, they will perform across various locations in the Bay Area, offering all shows for free. DISRUPTION tackles pertinent political themes, questioning the direction of the U.S. as it leans towards authoritarianism. The story follows Augie, a son of immigrants, navigating a city increasingly overshadowed by tech innovation. The Troupe, known since 1959 for their social commentary and entertaining performances, continues to engage communities through its work.
DISRUPTION - A Musical Farce asks the political question: as the United States slides towards authoritarianism will San Francisco become a center of resistance, or just a corporate suburb of Silicon Valley?
Running throughout the Bay Area, the San Francisco Mime Troupe offers free performances, highlighting their commitment to socially relevant theater in public spaces.
