A Pacific Gas & Electric Co. outage left almost 125,000 San Francisco customers without power on Saturday, affecting large swaths of the city. The outage map showed tens of thousands without electricity in the Sunset, Richmond, Haight-Ashbury, Chinatown, South of Market and other neighborhoods. PG&E reported 124,718 customers affected as of 5 p.m. and said it had stabilized the grid. The utility said it was not expecting additional outages and that restoration was possible later the same day but could not yet confirm a timeline. BART closed Powell Street and Civic Center stations and Muni reported numerous train delays.
