Kent Putnam, who recently acquired the building, intends to transform Engine Works into an ashram focused on yoga retreats, thus displacing the current artistic community.
Before their eviction, the building maintained a vibrant artist community, featuring everything from 3D geometric art to digital performances and music recording sessions.
