Briefly

"This place has always been home to groups of alternative kids," said Sean Newport, indicating the cultural significance of Engine Works and its role as a creative haven.
Inside the warm lighting and wooden walls, eclectic art and a cozy atmosphere characterize Engine Works, a stark contrast to its industrial surrounding.
Kent Putnam, who recently acquired the building, intends to transform Engine Works into an ashram focused on yoga retreats, thus displacing the current artistic community.
Before their eviction, the building maintained a vibrant artist community, featuring everything from 3D geometric art to digital performances and music recording sessions.
