"Rain and Bay to Breakers cancels, but other than that, Lindy in the Park takes place every Sunday - even on holidays - so even if New Year's Day, Christmas, or Fourth of July falls on a Sunday, they'll be out there dancing. Free outdoor Lindy Hop swing dances and lessons occur every sunny Sunday in Golden Gate Park near the de Young Museum on JFK Drive between 8th and 10th from 11 am to 2 pm. The in-person event resumed June 20, 2021. A free beginner lesson runs from noon to 12:30 pm, taught by Hep Jen; lessons are short, easy, and rotate leaders and followers so no partner is required. Rain and Bay to Breakers cancel the event, but otherwise it runs every Sunday including holidays; rare cancellations are posted on the website, usually by 10 am.
