The historic pier that creates San Francisco's Aquatic Park Cove has been closed indefinitely by the National Park Service.The pier has been in dire need of repair for some time, but the recent 5.1 magnitude earthquake that occurred near San Jose at the end of October triggered an assessment that deemed it unsafe for public use.
