"It was an immense amount of music on the streets. ... You'd be walking around North Beach, and it would just be jazz everywhere - jazz coming out of the windows, jazz on the corners, jazz in the restaurants," Yekutiel told SFGATE.
"We really noted an uptake in all of the activity across these different neighborhoods. You really feel the color, the vibrancy," Noise Pop CEO Michelle Swing said.
Yekutiel said he hoped that the event would not just be a musical celebration but a joyful, daylong gathering. He discussed plans for face painting booths, bubble machines, food trucks, local vendors and crafts like flower crown-making.
