Fraenkel Film Festival returns to Roxie as theater campaigns to purchase historic building
Briefly

The Fraenkel Gallery’s Fraenkel Film Festival is set to return to the Roxie Theater this summer after a successful inaugural run. The festival aims to generate funds for the Roxie as the nonprofit seeks $2 million to purchase the historic Mission District building. From July 9-19, the festival will feature 21 films curated by artists represented by the gallery. Roxie Executive Director Lex Sloan emphasized the event's success in fostering a new audience and supporting fundraising efforts during a capital campaign for the theater.
This year's Fraenkel Film Festival will be held at the Roxie Theater from July 9-19 and will feature 21 films curated by 21 living artists.
We're extraordinarily thankful for this ongoing partnership with Jeffrey Fraenkel and Fraenkel Gallery, which also acts as a meaningful fundraiser for our cinema.
