Drunk driver finally arrested, faces 18 counts in Fort Lauderdale crash that killed a woman nearly a year later

Derrick Eaglin, 63, was charged with 18 counts following the fatal crash in Fort Lauderdale, including DUI manslaughter and reckless driving, evading arrest since February 2022.

Witnesses reported that Eaglin's Maserati was speeding over 70 mph in a 40 mph zone, making it impossible for the Honda CRV to see him until impact.
