Downtown San Francisco is losing a bunch of tech conferences, report says

San Francisco, long known as the dominant hub of America's technology industry, is reportedly losing some of the conferences that have given the city that reputation.
Google's absence - the tech giant confirmed in September that it's moving its 2024 Google Cloud Next conference from the Moscone Center to Las Vegas - will hit the hardest, but the newly reported pullbacks are also rough for San Francisco tourism in the short term.
