Christian McCaffrey is slated to play Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks despite appearing on the 49ers' injury report with a calf issue and missing a Friday practice. McCaffrey missed most of 2024 because of bilateral Achilles tendinitis and was limited to four games as the 49ers finished 6-11. He said he feels great and warned that missed practices can be overblown given his injury history. ESPN reported a source saying McCaffrey is "good to go." The 49ers added Brian Robinson Jr. to serve as his primary backup.
