The California Highway Patrol dispatched officers to increase visibility and presence at Mission District BART plazas during Dreamforce. Mission Station Captain Sean Perdomo requested CHP assistance to help the San Francisco Police Department address street conditions as the conference draws tens of thousands of visitors. CHP officers were stationed at the plazas Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with staffing levels changing throughout the day. Officers were present all day and had arrest authority. Mission Local observed five CHP officers at 24th and Mission. CHP accompanied FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration agents at Franklin and McAllister shortly after midnight. Marc Benioff supported potential National Guard deployment and President Trump mentioned recommending San Francisco for future deployment.
