History Park San Jose hosts a Lunar New Year celebration for the Fire Horse on March 14th from 11:00am to 4:00pm at 635 Phelan Ave. The event features lion and dragon dancing, Chinese music, traditional and K-pop performances, martial arts demonstrations, and storytelling. A master calligrapher demonstrates Chinese calligraphy while children participate in hands-on activities and games. Visitors can meet Hoong the Dragon, march in a parade behind lions and dragons, and visit the Chinese American Historical Museum to learn about Chinese contributions to Silicon Valley. Food options include Asian cuisine from Twisters/Rolling Duck food truck, trolley rides, and ice cream from O'Brien's Ice Cream Store.
