""It's possible," Shanahan said."
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan officially ruled out Brock Purdy for San Francisco's game against New Orleans on Sunday. Purdy sustained toe and left shoulder injuries in the second quarter of the team's win over the Seattle Seahawks. Shanahan indicated the toe injury is the primary concern and said he thinks Purdy playing against the Saints is a long shot. Shanahan acknowledged that Purdy could miss multiple games while recovering. Backup quarterback Mac Jones will make his first start for the 49ers in Purdy's absence.
