Mike Lynch, a prominent UK tech entrepreneur, was confirmed dead after a tragic yacht accident off Sicily during a storm, following multi-day search efforts.
The yacht, Bayesian, capsized with 22 people on board, celebrating Lynch’s legal victory. Five bodies, including Lynch's, have been recovered amidst ongoing search for his daughter.
Lynch, well-known in the tech industry for co-founding Autonomy and Darktrace, was involved in a prolonged legal battle post the $11 billion sale of Autonomy to HP.
The yacht excursion was attended by family, friends, and business associates, marking Lynch’s recent acquittal on fraud charges, while his wife survived the tragedy.
