"An employee at Pachitas #2, which is next to Skylark, said he was working in the kitchen when the shooting took place and a crowd of people rushed into the restaurant for safety. Another employee at K&H liquors, just down the block at the intersection of 16th and Valencia streets, said he heard about eight shots. He immediately locked the door and lay on the ground for safety."

Police arrested 23-year-old Larry Hudgson Jr. in Visitation Valley and transported him to a county jail on a murder charge.
