Graduating students from the Climate School's Sustainable Development program received the Departmental Honors Award for their academic excellence. Four students, Rachel Brzezicki, Harrison Gerson, Esha Karam, and Yoon Kim, met criteria of maintaining a 3.7 GPA in major courses and achieving high thesis seminar grades. Brzezicki, who held leadership roles and participated in research, plans to facilitate a program and explore personal interests post-graduation. She described the Bangladesh capstone workshop as pivotal, connecting physical science and climate change's social aspects.

After graduation, Brzezicki plans to facilitate the Columbia Climate School's Green Mountains High School Program, followed by travel, work and volunteer experiences in Colorado.
She looks forward to taking time for personal exploration, trying new hobbies, and reflecting on her journey after graduation.
