SOMA Nights is a monthly event aiming to bolster community connections and support local businesses amidst the Folsom Streetscape Project. Scheduled for the fourth Thursday of each month, these events feature over 20 businesses, pop-up vendors, live music, and food specials along Folsom Street. The initiative seeks to create an inclusive atmosphere, making it accessible to all ages while promoting local arts and culture. The kickoff on May 22 promises a lively music festival, showcasing local bands and performances, and encourages further nightlife engagement at nearby venues.
SOMA Nights aims to foster a sense of community by connecting residents and local businesses during the Folsom Streetscape Project, which is putting multiple legacy businesses at risk of closing.
This is an inclusive event for all ages and backgrounds. Walk the Folsom corridor and visit any other restaurants, bars, clubs, art galleries, studios paired with street pop up events.
The May 22 Music Festival will showcase the next evolution of SOMA Nights. Music City SF has opened its stable of local bands, who will be performing in the streets and in four bars.
Our monthly events encourage collaboration and creativity, bringing together local businesses who have operated in SOMA for the past 3 decades who need local support to survive through the major street construction.
