Victor Serriteno, 33, pleaded no contest to killing Priscilla Castro and two others linked to 2020 wildfires in Solano County, earning a sentence of 73 years to life. The plea agreement includes 15 years to life for Castro's murder, 25 years to life for each of the men killed in the fires, and an additional eight years for arson. Solano County District Attorney Krishna Abrams emphasized the severe impact of such crimes and the closure this plea offers to victims' families.
This was one of the most catastrophic fires in the history of Solano County. Lives of those impacted have been forever changed. Although we cannot undo these vicious, brutal, and senseless acts by defendant Serriteno, hopefully this plea today will provide certainty that the defendant stands convicted, that he is held accountable, and that there is some sense of justice and closure for all of those affected. Most importantly, he will not be able to harm our community again.
Victor Serriteno, 33, will return to court Aug. 14 for judgment and sentencing. He remains in Solano County Jail custody without bail.
